Cornwall 2016

Hi!

So I thought I'd share a couple of my summer adventures with you, starting with Cornwall.
Me, my boyfriend Chris, my sister and her boyfriend along with my dad and his partner all took a trip to St Ives in Cornwall, UK.

We were there for a long weekend and had a wonderful time.
We stayed just outside of St Ives town centre in a lovely B&B.

Firstly we visited Land's End where we took a long walk along the cliffs and saw some amazing views, we then ate at a lovely restaurant called The Rum and Crab Shack rumandcrabshack.com which I highly recommend if you like crab and rum! They also do Red Stripe on tap which I was super happy about.

You have also got to try Kelly's bubblegum ice cream - it's amazing!

During our time there we went to St Michael's Mount which unfortunately was closed but we still took a nice stroll around the grounds, I remember this day was absolutely p-ing it down so we got rather soaked. Even though the rain ruined our moods, they were soon turned around when we had dinner at the Seafood Cafe www.seafoodcafe.co.uk in St Ives town centre.
Just a tip though - if you plan on eating here then I would book months in advance as it is always fully booked and extremely hard to get a table there.

You can have a selection of fish and poultry along with a great choice of sides.
I went for the scallops to start and fillet steak for main with creamy mash, vegetables and a red wine gravy. So delicious!
My boyfriend Chris went for a whole lobster as his main and it was HUGE, he loved it.

We also had a mooch around the town and visited some of the beautiful beaches in St Ives.
The beaches have white sand and lovely blue waters, you almost feel like you are in the Caribbean, but not quite with the same temperatures ha ha!

I have included just a few photographs I took on my 35mm film camera.

Enjoy,

Lauren x
