I know it's a bit late but I was working so much over summer as well as trying to make as many amazing memories as I could, that I didn't get chance to blog some of the great experiences I had.
I thought I would share with you my 5 day trip to Ibiza in June, me and my best friend Cara decided to book a last minute trip to the island for an adventure.
Typically people will think your off to the island to enjoy the night life in the famous clubs such as Amnesia and Ushuaia, but me and Cara were more interested in soaking up the Ibiza culture.
We booked a 4 night stay in a hotel in Es' Cana (I'm really sorry I can't remember the name of our hotel but I will try and find out), we were all inclusive and about a 5 minute walk away from beach.
The only downfall was the food in the hotel wasn't the best, but it filled us up ready for the day.
We spent our first day getting our bearings and looking at what was around us so we could plan our days and make the most of our time.
We spent a few hours at the beach soaking up the sun and enjoying the scenery, we then ventured up onto some rocks a little bit away from the beach. It was so tranquil and peaceful being away from the beach, just listening to the sound of the waves crashing onto the rocks.
After we decided to take a stroll around the town of Es' Cana, it's always good to understand where everything is when its daylight as places look so different at night and we didn't want to be wondering around aimlessly at night on our own.
The pool area was ok back at the hotel but it was quite child orientated and we didn't feel we could relax very much. But we came across this amazing Buddha inspired pool area, which you could pay 10 euro's for a bed and to use the pool. It was right on the beach and there was music, cocktails etc. , so we spent the rest of the afternoon there!
On our second day we visited the famous Es' Cana Hippy Market, we followed the crowds of people walking towards the market at about 10am. Unfortunately it started raining just as we arrived which meant a lot of the stalls were having to cover up their products to save them from getting wet.
But once the rain had gone we could enjoy the markets, there were so many cool products to buy!
I purchased two crochet bra lets (which I still haven't worn), a pair of elephant print trousers, and a Ganesh print shirt.
We then climbed yet more rocks to find ourselves at a nudist beach!
On our final full day we took a boat ride to Old Ibiza Town for more exploring.
The boat trip was around 20 euro's and for the money you really get a long ride, we had to get two boats to the town and it was so beautiful just riding the waves and taking in all the beautiful views.
We got to see some other gorgeous beaches along the way too.
We spent our final day just relaxing around the pool and on the beach before getting our flight back to the UK. It was a great experience being in Ibiza, there are so many beautiful places and it has a really great atmosphere. The locals are all friendly and there is so much to do, I wish we had longer to explore more of the island.
Where did you visit this summer?
